Harold Budd & Cocteau Twins

I was vaguely familiar with some of the work he did with Brian Eno and on a whim decided that tonight would be Harold Budd night. Was completely blown away after listening to Pavilion of Dreams (1978) and then sealed the deal with his 1986 collaboration with Cocteau Twins called The Moon & The Melodies. Seriously, everybody should own at least these two records, if you don’t already, and of course the Brian Eno stuff is solid as well.

Golden, just golden.

Just heard this new track from Roman GianArthur featuring Kevin Barnes from Of Montreal. Me likey. Stereogum did a short interview with Kevin Barnes that’s worth reading and apparently Roman GianArthur is going to be the story of 2011. I just want to put it out there that I believe the story of 2011 will be the Britney Spears comeback. I know it’s a long shot but just in case it comes to fruition you read it here first.
